A firm believer in the intergenerational magic of music, Marie-Barbe joined the Happiness Factory board in 2025 to help bring young performers into the lives of New York’s seniors.

Her passion began at home, watching her musical children use their talents to comfort their great-grandmother in hospice, a spark that led them all into the field of music therapy.

Marie-Barbe balances her board service with a career in government and media startups. When not working with The Happiness Factory, she is a committed mentor to emerging entrepreneurs and a hands-on volunteer for New York City’s underprivileged and homeless populations. She is dedicated to the idea that music is not just entertainment, but a vital tool for healing and human connection.
