Hi everyone,
“New York, New York” is certainly the song we have played and sung most often with The Happiness Factory, it is also the one that inspires the greatest participation from seniors during our concerts. This song has a magic power, it brings everyone together: young and old, beginner and advanced musicians, people from all cultures and languages. For the duration of one song, “New York, New York” unites us all, much like this amazing city itself, the city that now hosts The Happiness Factory.
Today, The Happiness Factory brings together more than 350 young musicians and, since the beginning of 2026 alone, we have already reached more than 1,350 seniors across New York City (in 30 concerts, from January to May).
The month of June promises to be just as exciting, with 10 concerts already scheduled , so don’t wait, sign up. The calendar is below.
And finally, a beautiful anecdote from one of our recent concerts: among the audience members was a resident who happened to be the nephew of Fred Ebb, the lyricist of “New York, New York.” He was deeply moved to see this song still alive today in a nursing home, bringing seniors and young musicians together through music.
He told us emotionally:
“If Fred had known that one day this song would live on like this…”
